Mindset Over Markets

The heart of everything we do.

Calmer minds, smarter trades, brighter tomorrows

You can have the best strategy in the world, but if you can’t manage yourself when you trade, it’s incredibly difficult to use that strategy consistently.

Trading brings out very human responses – fear, FOMO, frustration, excitement, impatience and the temptation to chase a loss or take “just one more trade”. That’s why mindset isn’t an extra at MOM; it sits at the heart of everything we do.

We help members understand not only what they’re doing in the markets, but what’s happening within them while they’re doing it. Through education, reflection, practical tools and trading plans, we work on building discipline, emotional regulation and consistency.

My aim isn’t simply to help someone have a profitable day. It’s to help them develop the mindset and habits they need to become a calmer, more confident and independent trader. — Jess

Trading psychology

What gets in the way.

Most trading mistakes aren’t about charts. They’re about what happens in your head when real money is on the line.

Trading psychology

How your thoughts and feelings shape the decisions you make with money on the line.

Emotional discipline

Sticking to the decision you made calmly, when the chart is making you feel something else.

FOMO

The fear of missing out — jumping into a move late because everyone else seems to be in it.

Overtrading

Taking more trades than your plan allows, often out of boredom or to make up for a bad day.

Revenge trading

Jumping straight back in after a loss to try to win it back.

Fear

Hesitating on a trade that fits your plan, or closing one early, because the last loss is still loud.

Following a trading plan

Deciding before the market opens what you will and won’t do — and then doing it.

Consistency

Doing the same sensible things every week, so what you do is repeatable whatever the market brings.

Mindset Zooms

Every Monday, 8pm.

Our mindset Zooms are practical, interactive sessions focused on the psychology behind trading. We explore subjects such as FOMO, overtrading, emotional triggers, discipline, managing losses and building a trading plan that works for you.

Rather than simply talking about “having a better mindset”, we look at why certain reactions happen and give members practical tools they can use when trading. There’s also space for discussion, reflection and questions so members can apply what we’re covering to their own trading.

Every session is recorded and added to the MOM resource library, so you can watch it back at any time.

Hypnosis & audio

Guided hypnosis and mindset audios created to support the psychological side of trading – confidence, emotional regulation, FOMO, discipline and resetting after a difficult trading day. They’re in the MOM resource library, so you can use them whenever you need them.

Challenges

Our challenges turn what we teach into action. Members work towards a specific goal together, with regular check-ins, accountability and support from the community. The focus isn’t simply on profit – it’s on building sustainable habits, sticking to your plan and becoming a more disciplined trader.

Jess, founder of Mindset Over Markets

Founder

About Jess

Before moving into trading, I spent many years working therapeutically with individuals and families. My professional background includes clinical hypnotherapy, EMDR, coaching alongside extensive experience delivering training and education.

I am the founder and former CEO of Cocoon Family Support – a perinatal mental health charity – and have delivered training to NHS and local-authority professionals. My work has been featured in national press and TV, and I have been commended in Parliament for my work in the perinatal mental health field.

That background now plays a huge part in what I bring to MOM. I use my understanding of behaviour, emotional regulation, habits and mindset to help traders recognise what happens when emotions begin to influence their decisions – and, importantly, give them practical tools to respond differently.
